“Is a street in the center of Dublin, Ireland, running north from the River Liffey. The street has played an important part in Irish history and features several important monuments, including statues of O’Connell and trade union leader James Larkin, as well as the Spire of Dublin. It formed the backdrop to one of the 1913 Dublin lock-out gatherings, the 1916 Easter Rising, the Irish Civil War of 1922, the destruction of Nelson’s Pillar in 1966, and the Dublin Riots in 2006. In the late 20th century, a comprehensive plan was begun to restore the street to its original 19th-century character.”

We found the Paddywagon Tour Group very enjoyable and their service to be efficient, on time, and offering a wide variety of Day Tours, Multi-day Tours, Private Tours, and cruise excursions.

Just a warning. Expect to be tired at the end of the day. The tour group schedules are tight, and I often found there was too little time to properly explore the sites we visited, lingering in a gift shop, and or relaxing in a Pub with a Pint had to wait for another day.  The guided tours will help in exploring Ireland in general so that you can later pick your favorite places to return to.

The Paddywagon Tour Group even offers free tours – (as per their website accessed Oct 2023 – T&C apply of course)

Situated at the foot of the iconic Rock of Cashel, Cashel Wollen Store has been supplying customers with the finest of Irish knitwear and gifts, and many other gifts too, which we could not explore as our trip itinerary did not allow for more time during our visit. I will return there one day…

“The Golden Vale is an area of rolling pastureland in the province of Munster in southwestern Ireland. The area covers parts of three counties: Cork, Limerick, and Tipperary. Considered the best land in Ireland for dairy farming, the region has been described as the “heart of the Munster dairying country”.
